Mother’s Day at Eataly.

Hope you had a great Mother’s Day for those who celebrate! The weekend in Chicago was absolutely beautiful. It really was a gift to us mothers here.  My mom is in town for a few weeks to help out with the kiddo so we all went to the ever so popular Eataly this past weekend. I could have stayed there all day. As a lover of Italian food, this place was truly paradise!

We started off at the Lavazza cafe for some cappuccinos and ended the visit with some gelato. All of the food is imported from Italy and they also offer cooking classes, cook books, cooking gadgets and utensils, a market, a wine bar, and restaurants where you can get pasta, seafood, or pizza. I am sure I left out some things, but if you are ever in Chicago definitely check it out!

The pizza we had was just fantastic, even my kiddo was devouring it. Can’t go wrong with pizza and fresh ingredients. Even the bread that came out was great! Soft and chewy made with stone ground flour. I had to eventually hide it from the kiddo because she could have eaten the whole basket!

We then hit up Michigan Ave and grandma did some early birthday shopping for the kiddo. I can’t believe her birthday is at the end of this month and she is turning TWO already! Time sure is going fast!

The tulips were in full bloom on the Mag Mile and I just knew right there spring has finally arrived. Let’s see how long this weather lasts.

My mom really does not know how to use an iphone. Tulips still look pretty.

My mom really does not know how to use an iphone(sorry mom!). Tulips still look pretty though.

So what did you do for mother’s day? Anything fun? Do tell!

I was not paid to write about Eataly-I wish! All opinions are my own. I have been wanting to go here forever and I did it finally! 🙂

  1. Oh I want to go to Eataly so badly! There’s one in NYC so I could easily go but I know I would probably spend a fortune and eat a week’s worth of calories. It would be worth it though!
