A Whole Lot of Nothing.

So here we are again, Monday. This past weekend my family and I basically chilled. No weekend excursions around the city or anything like that, just completely relaxed, went to the park and ordered in pizza.

Rocks

We also went to visit my cousin who lives only a few neighborhoods away who dropped a bomb on us that he is moving across the country for job reasons, which had taken us all by surprise. He is one of very few relatives that I have that lives near me that I have kept close in contact with, so sad! Sometimes when we are just hanging out at the condo, he’ll stop by and we would have hours of great conversation.

We did a mini trip to his neighborhood ice cream shop and did a casual stroll to and back from his apartment.

The days are getting shorter and and fall is coming up real soon. Although I have this gripe about already announcing Fall-I don’t go by the Back to School, after Labor Day, weekend schedule that we are now in Fall but by the actual date which is September 21st. I guess I am rebeling to Summer coming to an end. The warm weather is still holding out and I see women trying to wear their knee high boots already. I wanted to go up to them and yell “cut it out!”. It is just not time yet.

I suppose people are trying to accept Fall asap and force themselves to forget the fact that Summer is over in a way you would rip off a bandaid just to get over the pain as quickly as possible. Whatever.

So how was your weekend? Did you chill or do anything exciting?

  1. haha! You want to yell “cut it out!” to them. I’m still wearing sundresses and sandals over here. It was 90 degrees on Saturday! I’m holding until until October, I swear.

Same here! It was 90 here on Friday and I see this girl with boots on the bus going to work, straight up knee high boots, I was like what is she thinking?!

  2. The weekend in San Diego was very hot so it definitely still felt like summer! But we watched lots of college football which made it feel more like fall. Bummer about your cousin moving. But sometimes you just have to make a move for the job….

Yea he is moving to Cali actually! I am very saddened by this, he is like a brother to me. I give a pass on California because it is warm there year round!
